　　Born 1954, Denmark. His directorial debut, considered one of the best Danish children's films of the decade, OTTO IS A RHINO (1983), was honoured in Hollywood,London and Gijon. In 1992 he made the Swedish feature THE PREMONITION/SORT LUCIA,awarded in Montreal for best direction. His short film KAN DU VISSLA JOHANNA? (1994),was chosen as Sweden's Best Children's Film of the year; and was awarded at the GoldenGlobe, Hollywood and Berlin. YOUNG ANDERSEN/UNGE ANDERSEN is Hammerich's third feature film.
