  《皮鞋美容师在上海》

  节目大纲:

  本片以鞋为题,纵览鞋文化的历史,体察古今中国的巨大变迁。此次文化调研将披露一个鲜为人知的事实-中国人发明了皮鞋(据《孙子兵法》记载)。我们将采访擦鞋的男孩和卖鞋的营业员,回顾文革期间鞋的特殊含义-黑布鞋代表着立场坚定,与西方意识形态划清界限,而皮鞋则被扣上羡慕资产阶级生活方式的罪名。除此之外,本片还将检视中国女性美的演化历程,从三寸金莲一直到高跟鞋,同时穿插其它若干话题。

  汤建中,男,现任上海华录文化传播有限公司国际部主任,负责管理重要客户、拓展市场机遇、启动创收计划,以及开发并执行广告营销方案等。在此之前,汤先生旅居加拿大,先后任职于Barnet Magrill 投资公司、H&R Block财务公司和Intracor实业公司。赴加之前,汤先生在中德合资的上海大众汽车有限公司从事市场与售后服务工作。

  汤先生毕业于上海大学国际商学院商务英语专业,并于Brentwick大学获得工商管理(金融专业)硕士学位。此外,汤先生还持有加拿大证券学会颁发的证券股票课程证书和加拿大百年理工学院授予的商务会计文凭。

  1974年出生于香港。毕业于香港理工大学语言和传播学专业,并曾在北京电影学院导演系学习。1996年,她在香港独立电影《月未老》中担任助理导演,并担任日本电视新闻公司NDN的驻港通讯记者。自1994年起,她为香港、台湾和大陆的多家媒体撰写过许多有关音乐、电影、电视和艺术的文章。目前,她正在制作一部有关音乐的独立数字纪实系列片《中国及华人新音乐2002-2004年》(制作中)。

  钟伟权

  1978年出生于香港。毕业于香港理工大学设计与视觉传播专业。他曾在香港和日本荣获多个动画和电视制作奖项。他在业余时间兼职教授电视制作,并曾执导过多部香港的音乐电视作品。

  杨允中

  1982年出生于香港。现在香港城市大学多媒体设计专业学习。自2002年起,他曾参与过多部学生和专业影视作品的制作。目前,他在协助一部音乐纪实系列片的视觉设计工作。

  Synopsis:  Shoes

 

  This documentary takes shoes as its subject and through a cultural history of shoes, aims to survey past and modern China. This cultural study encompasses the little-known fact that the Chinese invented leather shoes (adapted by SunZi’s troops). From interviews with shoe-shine boys and shoes salesmen, to a review of the stalwart status of black-cloth shoes versus the bourgeois-value of leather shoes during the Cultural Revolution, this documentary also examines the evolution of female beauty from three-inch Golden Lotus bound feet to high-heel shoes, amongst other topics.

 

  Bio:

 

  Mr. Tang Jianzhong, Director of International Department of Shanghai Hualu Culture Communication Co., Ltd., is responsible for managing major clients, exploiting opportunities in the market, initiating income creation plans as well as developing and implementing advertisement and marketing campaigns. Prior to the current position, he lived in Canada and worked successively at Barnet Magrill Investment Corp., H&R Block Financial Corp. and Intracor Industry Corp.. Before he went to Canada, Mr. Tang engaged in marketing and after-sales service work at Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd.

 

  Mr. Tang graduated from the School of International Business of Shanghai University and majored in English language. He obtained MBA (Finance Major) degree from Brentwick University. In addition, Mr. Tang owns CSC & CPH certificates issued by Canada Securities Institute and Business Accounting diploma offered by Canada Centennial College.

  Synopsis: Fire Festival

 

  The fire festival is the traditional festival of a minority tribe in Liang Shan, Sichuan. A centerpiece of the celebrations is a beauty contest that pit young tribal girls against one another. This documentary examines how tourism and globalization has led to the commercialization of this ancient festival and the internationalization of the aesthetics of the beauty pageant.

  Mr. GAO Zanyong is the Editor and Director of “New Idea for Shopping”, a program of Channel Young of Shanghai TV Station. Before this, he took the posts such as Head of Program in China Interactive TV, Editor/Director and Postproducer of “The Age of Fitness” (a program of Great Sports Channel of Shanghai TV Station) and Editor of the Culture and Sports Department of Anhui TV Station.

 

  Mr Gao graduated from Mathematics Department of Sichuan University and majored in Accounting and Audit. He also studied in the Department of TV Art of Shanghai Theatre Academy and majored in Editing and Directing of Television.

  Synopsis: 12 Girl Band

 

  The 12 Girl Band are re-popularising the sounds and re-vamping the image of ancient Chinese music, making traditional Chinese music instruments such as the guzheng and the erhu fashionable again. Caught between the criticisms of the traditional music purists who disapprove of the band’s western pop packaging and the pressures of the mainstream pop music market, the film aims to capture their struggles in bringing their music to their fellow Chinese and to the world. Will they be a short-lived pop phenomenon or the answer to the survival of traditional Chinese music.

  Mr. Li Feng is now Editor and Director of the Social and Education Center of CCTV. He is dedicated in producing documentaries on popular science and created nearly 100 feature programs, documentaries and talk shows of various types.

  Unlike Peking Opera that is celebrated and preserved as one of China’s national treasures, Southern opera struggles to survive in the era of globalization. This documentary explores how the Lee family troupe in Wenzhou copes with the twin challenges of economic survival and the reinvention of Southern opera.

 

  Bio:

 

  Mr. Fang Weilin, whose penname is Shuye, is now Associate Professor of Esthetics in the Department of Philosophy of Nanjing University. He is the founder of Oracle Movie Studio. Currently, he also served as the teacher of DV Studio, Movie Studio of Chinese Language Department and Film and TV Association in Nanjing University.

 

  Mr. Fang graduated from Hangzhou University (Xixi Campus of Zhejiang University) and obtained the degree of Bachelor of Arts. Then he studied at Hubei University and Renmin University of China, obtained the degrees of Master and Doctor of Arts respectively.

   Synopsis: The last Tibetan shamen who can chant against     hailstorms

 

  A Tibetan shamen wants to pass down his hailstorm-stopping and rain-making skills to his son, who would rather run a video-rental business in the village. Worried that his reputation in the village is slipping and that the villagers are starting to place their confidence in the more scientific methods of cloud-seeding and man-made rain, his last hope is his grandson, who is starting to learn the ancient incantations.

  Mr. Wanma Caidan is a Tibetan. Now, he is studying at Beijing Film Academy. Engaged in teaching and administrative jobs, he began to write and publish literature works since 1991, more than 30 novels both in Chinese and Tibetan as well as more than 10 translated works.   Synopsis: Fisherman

 

  Fisherman Ah Dou grew up along the Min River in Fujian. In the old days, the size of his ambition was no more than the size of a good catch. Rapid industrialization and the resulting pollution of the river have made it more and more difficult for him to eke out a living. Pressed into change, Ah Dou turns his fishing boat into a tourist ferry, offering cruises along the Min River, complete with sumptuous seafood treats. This documentary counts both the costs and potential rewards of economic development for the individual.

  Mr. Wu Xianghua, whose penname is Xiao Wu, is now the Creative Director, Writer and Editor/Director of Oriental Culture Communication Center in Fujian. Before that, he planned and produced a sports fashion program “Live Fashion - haoya New Weekly” independently, as Producer and Chief Planner.

  This documentary tells the story of how the Internet has been a boon to military hobbyists in China.
