北舞党委书记王传亮致辞 第四届芭蕾大赛开幕

　　面对世界舞蹈艺术的中国 创造中国的舞蹈艺术世界

　　各位领导､各位嘉宾､各位朋友:

　　大家晚上好!

　　Good evening, dear leaders, distinguished guests and friends!

　　我首先代表大赛组委会､代表北京舞蹈学院,向来自远方的宾客表示热烈的欢迎!

　　First I’d like to extend my warmest welcome to you on behalf of the organizing committee and faculty of Beijing Dance Academy.

　　北京舞蹈学院是当今中国舞蹈教育的最高学府,也是世界知名的舞蹈院校,在海内外享有“舞蹈家摇篮”的美誉｡自2006年以来,学院依托自身的办学优势和北京雄厚的文化底蕴,已成功举办了三届北京国际舞蹈院校芭蕾舞邀请赛,共有来自俄罗斯､英国､美国､加拿大等30多个国家和地区的300余名芭蕾学子参加了此项赛事,建立起中国芭蕾与世界芭蕾对话的平台｡

　　Beijing Dance Academy has achieved national recognition as a leading dance institution in China and is getting well-known world-widely, as so-called “cradle of dancers”. The past six years has witnessed success of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Beijing International Ballet Invitational for Dace School. More than three hundred talented ballet students from more than thirty countries like Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada have taken part in this event. As host of this event and representing Ballet schools in China, BDA displays its characteristics and splendid culture of Beijing to the world. This event is becoming a place for Ballet dialogue between China and the world.

　　中国的芭蕾舞教育事业起步于北京舞蹈学院,半个多世纪来,我们既传承了世界芭蕾的优良传统,又在芭蕾中国化的探索上取得丰硕成果｡源自欧洲且已成为世界主要舞蹈艺术形式的芭蕾,一直也是北京舞蹈学院的主要学科,在北京舞蹈学院提倡的和而不同､多样性存在的学术氛围中得到健康发展,已成为北京舞蹈学院的骨干学科｡学院举办北京国际舞蹈院校芭蕾舞邀请赛,就是要搭建一个芭蕾舞教育和芭蕾艺术发展的广阔平台,让国内外芭蕾精英在这个充满高品质文化的大平台上能够“各美其美､美美与共､美人之美,成人之美”｡

　　BDA is where China Ballet originated. Developing for half century in China, ballet has been significantly localized with our exploring efforts in BDA. Meanwhile fine traditions of ballet have been inherited. Ballet, which originated in Europe and as world’s main dancing art form, has been paid great attention to in BDA. It has developed steadily as key department in BDA, where diversified academic researchers are friendly to each other and explore unique approach in arts shoulder to shoulder. We hold this event to build a platform for exchange of Ballet and ballet educational experiences, to build an elegant stage for home-and-abroad ballet elites to fully display their talents. We hope that different forms of beauty can be displayed and shared here, and talented ballet students can be founded and given career opportunities by well-known ballet experts here.

　　中国文化的最典型特点就是多样性存在,主张“和而不同”,同时也体现了中国文化的包容性和在包容性基础上的､充满自信的开放性特征｡这源于“和生万物､同则不继”的中国传统思想方法,在高扬个性的同时承认多样性的存在,各种文化形态彼此包容,正如《中庸》里讲到的“万物并育不相害,道并行不相悖”,只有这样才能更好地敞开胸怀,接受各种先进文化的精华,更具开放性｡

　　“No indifference to difference” can be summary of typical Chinese cultural characteristics. It reads that Chinese culture is inclusive and open, based on confidence. This derives from Chinese traditional thinking, “The universe origins the same and difference makes the universe develop”. It allows co-existence of diversity and individuality. It lays a foundation for different forms of culture to recognize and be inclusive to each other. The Doctrine of the Mean by Confucius reads that “all living creatures are nurtured together without harming each other, road runs parallel without interfering with each other”. Only in this way can one culture get more open when learning from fine parts of other cultures.

　　我们中华民族的图腾,就是协和万邦的由各种图腾优点组合的龙的形象,体现了我们民族的和合精神｡蔡元培先生也据此提出了当年北京大学“兼容并包､兼收并蓄”(注：此处英文处理采用意译，阐释中学与西学在北大的共存)的成功的办学理念｡我们党从延安时期就提出了“百花齐放,百家争鸣”(注：此处英文处理采用意译，阐释党中央对艺术及学术的不同方针)的文艺方针｡北京舞蹈学院一直致力于在坚持正确的政治立场和人文导向基础上的和而不同､允许多样性存在的学术氛围的建设｡

　　Dragon is totem for Chinese people, embodying merits of totems of different nationalities in China. The process of formation of the dragon totem reflects how Chinese nationalities merge into each. Thanks to this national spirit, Mr. Cai Yuanpei, the first president of Peking University, advocated that scholars of Chinese arts and Western science should both be taken into the faculty, which led the university to success since its founding. Thanks to this spirit, since Yan’an period our Communist Party of China advocated that arts should be diversified and sciences should be open debated. Thanks to this spirit, BDA has always been a place for diversified academic researches, with our efforts to make it politically right and to put people first.

　　在“和而不同”的学术氛围下,北京舞蹈学院初步形成了具有中国特色的舞蹈高等教育体系:不仅有在西方文化观照下的芭蕾舞､音乐剧､国际标准舞､现代舞,还有在中国传统文化的审美取向下形成的包括古典身韵､敦煌舞､汉唐舞的中国古典舞;有传承了丰富多彩民族民俗文化的中国民族民间舞,还有舞蹈编导,以及艺术传播､艺术设计等相关学科｡北京舞蹈学院还有一个历史悠久､世界知名的舞蹈中等专业学校｡

　　Under such circumstances, BDA has developed a dance education system of Chinese characteristics. We take both traditional Chinese classical dances and western dances into our system, Chinese dances including 古典身韵（注：不能准确翻译；如业内无既有英文对应，是否可翻译成Ancient China Rhythm），Dunhuang Dance, Dances of Han and Tang Dynasty, Western dances including ballet, musical play, ballroom dance and modern dance, etc. We have Chinese Folk Dance Department as well as Department of Choreography, Art Diffusion and Art Design. We also have a well-known affiliated school of more than fifty years’ history.

　　在接下来的《大美不言•国舞集萃》专场演出中,各位将欣赏到由我院青年舞团的优秀演员和中国古典舞系的学生们共同表演的精彩纷呈的中国舞蹈｡

　　In following special performances named Grand Beauty Beyond Words, dancers from BDA Youth Troupe and dance students from Department of Chinese Classical Dances of BDA will present you a series of wonderful Chinese dances.

　　近年来,北京舞蹈学院坚持文化引领,带领师生员工积极融入中华民族文化复兴的伟大工程,不断提升办学水平,提出“坚持高层次的文化追求,坚持高质量的人才培养,坚持高水平的普及教育”(注：此三项并列方针，英文中提取核心意思，以短语表达，可能不准确)的基本原则,在教学､科研等方面取得了丰硕成果,培养了一批批高素质的舞蹈表演､编导､理论､教育等尖端人才｡

　　In recent years, to pursue spiritual life, to train highly competent graduates and first class professors teaching in junior years has been principals of Beijing Dance Academy. Our teaching practice and researches have been fruitful and lots of qualified dancers, choreographers, researchers and teachers graduated with honors. These achievements will contribute to Renaissance of China.

　　芭蕾舞是世界上影响最大､观众最广的舞蹈艺术形式之一,它高雅华丽的表演艺术在人们的精神生活中显示着独特地位｡北京舞蹈学院主办此项国际性的芭蕾舞比赛,标志着中国芭蕾舞艺术发展的新实力｡学院始终坚持以举办此项舞蹈高端赛事为契机,提升办学水平,检验教学成果｡本届比赛更以专业舞蹈院校精品展演,促进世界舞蹈文化交融;以“大师工作坊”和“芭蕾教学研讨会”（注：此处英文名称参考官方网站或日程表，以求统一）等中外学术交流活动,促进国际舞蹈教育的发展｡我们愿意和国际舞蹈界､和国内外舞蹈院校密切协作,共同为提升舞蹈文化品格,为芭蕾艺术发展不断注入新的活力｡

　　Ballet is most influential and widely spread form of dance arts. It plays an implacable role in people’s spiritual life because of its delicate elegance. Ballet has developed to be a main stream of arts in China in recent years. And this enables BDA to host this invitational. We’d like to take this event as an opportunity to exhibit our achievements of the past and to upgrade our education to higher international standard. As a new launch, we will have International Dance Performances Series, Master Workshops, and Ballet Seminar this year. We hope these new arrangements will be helpful for international dance arts exchange and contribute to development of international ballet education. We will be very glad to cooperate closely with Ballet schools home and abroad to breed more young talented ballet students. It is the young ballet talents that will make ballet more delicate and more vigorous.

　　舞蹈可以跨越民族､地域和语言的界限,传递并诠释着人类文化的传统和世界文明的印迹｡我们坚信:面对世界舞蹈艺术的中国,一定能创造中国的舞蹈艺术世界!

　　Dance is universal beauty and never limited by nationality, space or language. Dance passes traditions of human being and echoes each steps of the cultivation of the Earth. We firmly believe that China will be open up to world dance arts and China will be a country for dance arts.

　　最后,祝朋友们在北京､在北京舞蹈学院度过一段美好难忘的时光｡
