第四届北京国际芭蕾舞邀请赛评委介绍

　　北京舞蹈学院教授

　　中国著名舞蹈编导、教育家、理论家、北京舞蹈学院资深教授，硕士研究生导师，中国舞协芭蕾艺术委员会常务副会长，国务院特殊贡献专家。曾40次代表中国出任重大国际芭蕾舞和现代舞比赛的评委以及20多次担任全国性舞蹈比赛的评委。1987——1988年曾以高级访问学者的身份师从世界著名芭蕾大师格里戈罗维奇在莫斯科大剧院深造。

　　主要创作作品有：芭蕾舞剧《阳光下的石头》、《红楼幻想曲》、《断桥随想》，民族舞剧《天马萧萧》，现代舞剧《梦红楼》等。近十年来他亲自指导创作的10个舞蹈作品分别荣获国际芭蕾舞和国际现代舞比赛的5个大奖和5个金奖。

　　主要专著有：《芭蕾之梦》、《走进芭蕾王国》、《中外舞剧作品分析与鉴赏》、、《芭蕾艺术欣赏》、《国际流行交际舞》等，译著有：《历史生活舞蹈》、《古典芭蕾双人舞》、《古典芭蕾100堂课》等6部，并在全国性刊物发表论文及评论文章100多篇。先后独立推出《交响编舞法》和《当代编舞理论与技法》两个舞蹈编导教学体系，不仅填补了我国编导教学的空白，并对繁荣我国的舞蹈创作产生了重大影响。

　　他还培养了大量在国际国内荣获金银奖的演员和编导。由于在芭蕾教学和编导教学做出突出贡献而先后荣获国家教委和北京市颁发的教学成果一等奖。

　　Xiao Suhua

　　Professor of Beijing Dance Academy

　　Professor Xiao Suhua is an eminent choreographer, educationist and theorist, who also works as supervisor of MA students at the Beijing Dance Academy as well as executive vice chairman of Ballet Art Society of China Dancers Association . He was honored with Special Contribution by the State Council of China. He once assumed as a judge in 40 major international ballet and modern dance competitions, and acted as a judge in more than 20 national dance competitions. From 1987 to 1998, he studied in Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow as a visiting scholar, under the guidance of the world famous ballet master, Grigorovich.

　　Professor Xiao has produced large-scale ballets such as Stone Under the Sun, Dream of Red Mansion Fantasia, Broken Bridge Caprice, Legend of Sky Horse, Dreaming the Red Mansion, etc. In the recent years, he has personally directed the creation of ten dance works, which have won five GRAND PRIX and five gold prizes at the international ballet competitions and international contemporary dance competitions respectively.

　　Professor Xiao has written some books including Dream of Ballet, Inside Ballet World, Analysis and Appreciation of World Ballet Works, Theory and Technique of Contemporary Choreography, Appreciation of Ballet Art, International popular Ballroom Dancing and translated some including History Life Dance, Classical Ballet Pas de Deux, 100 Classes of Classical Ballet, as well as publishing many treatises and criticism in national periodicals and journals. He created two dance choreography teaching systems of “Symphonic choreograph method” and “Contemporary choreography theory and technique”.

　　Many dancers and choreographers trained by him have won plenty of honors and awards at various dance competitions at international and domestic levels. Besides, he was also awarded the first prize of Teaching Achievement by State Educational Committee and Beijing Municipal Educational Committee owing to his distinguished contribution in area of ballet teaching and choreography teaching.
