　　故事发生在贫瘠干旱的村子里，三个主人公有着各自的梦，相互缠绕。吉翰，一个试图在这个干旱地区人工降雨的气象学者。阿希，一位传统歌手，她美妙的歌声和迷人的气质如沙漠绿洲般吸引了吉翰。阿希的侍女毫无保留地把自己奉献给主人。与吉翰的生活目的不同，侍女不仅仅是观察者。她没有疑问和期盼地接受生活赐予她的一切。

　　《造雨者》是一部营造情感和气氛的电影，让观众感受电影的幻觉，是去“感受”电影，而不仅仅是“看”电影。

　　Director:

　　Ravi Bharwani completed his studies of cinematography in the Jakarta institue of the Arts (Ikj) in 1990.He was later involved in a number of commercials, documentaries, short movies and a Television movie.

　　His first feature film THE RAINMAKER has been officially selected for competition in the Asian new currents, 9th Pusan international film festival 2004.The film was also shown in Bangkok, Rotterdam and Barcelona film festival.

　　Synopsis:

　　In a barren and dry village, 3people with their personal dreams, interacts with each other. Johan, a meteorologist who is trying to create rain in that harsh location. Asih, a traditional singer, who with her voice, becomes an oasis to Johan. Asih’s maid is more of an observer. Accepting and living through life with whatever that life offers without questions and expectations.

　　The Rainmaker is a film of mood and atmospheres that liberates the audience to experience the illusions that a film offers. To “feel ” and not just to “watch”.
